Meeyana

Meeyana is a hamlet near Oyoor in Kollam District. It lies on the Oyoor – Ambalamkunnu road, about 25 km east of Kollam. The famous Kathakali Maddalam player, Margi Ratnakaran, hails from this village. Major spiritual spots here are the Nagayakshi Kavu, Meeyana Mosque, Oyoor Keezhuttu Sree Durga Devi Temple (3 km) and Velinalloor Sree Rama Swami Temple (4 km). Kottarakara Ganapathi Temple (21 km) is easily accessible from here.

Nearest airport is Trivandrum International Airport and nearest railhead is Kollam Junction Railway Station.
