Medaram is a village in Dandaka forest area of Mulug taluk in
Warangal District. It is 150 km north-east of
Warangal.
Medaram becomes a hub of activities during Samakka Festival which is celebrated once in two years. Samakka is a four day long festival and is held to commemorate the bravery of a Koya tribal queen named Samakka.
The Andhra Pradesh Road Transport Corporation operates special bus services during Samakka Festival. Warangal Junction Railway Station is the nearest major railhead. Hyderabad Airport is the nearest airport.
