Mecode

Mecode is a small town in Kanyakumari District, Tamil Nadu. Unnamalaikadai is situated in the north-west, Kothanalloor in the south-east and Veeyanoor in the south-west. Vellimalai, famous for the Kumarakovil temple, is nearby. Nagaraja Temple at Nagercoil, Kuzhithurai Amman Temple, Adhikesava Perumal Temple at Thiruvattar, St Xavier's Church and Al-Masjidul Ashraf Mosque at Kottar, Kollemcode, Sanguthurai Beach and Padmanabhapuram Palace are tourist spots in the neighborhood. Accommodation facilities are available at Hotel Rajam and Parvathi Residency at Nagercoil. The nearest airport is Trivandrum International Airport. Nagercoil Junction Railway Station is the nearest major railhead. Mecode can be easily accessed from Kuzhithurai and Nagercoil by road.
