Mebit Mebang is a small hillock situated in
South Garo Hills District of
Meghalaya.
Tiny pebbles, which resemble the seeds of rice, millet and other cereals, are found in this place. In 1927, G D Walker, the thence Deputy Commissioner of Garo ordered to sweep the pebbles away and guard the rock, but pebbles mysteriously re-emerged on the next morning.
