Mayang Imphal

Mayang Imphal is a small town in Imphal West District. It is one of the towns situated around the Loktak Lake wetland system. The town is mostly inhabited by Muslims and other Naga tribes. Thoubal - Mayang Imphal Road passes through this town. The river Thoubal joins the Imphal River, at Irong near Mayang Imphal. Mayang Imphal Bazar is the main attraction of the town, where Manipuri handicrafts and other indigenous products are sold.

Nearby towns include Wabagai (10 km), Lauiangdong (14 km), Buri Bazar (14 km), Thanga (14 km) and Tulihal (15 km). Imphal Airport is 16 km south of Mayang Imphal.
