A town in the Soraon Shringverpur
taluk of
Allahabad District, Mau Aimma is on the state highway from
Allahabad city to
Faizabad. The town, inhabited by Julahas (a caste of Muslim weavers) was once a flourishing center for cotton cloths.
Shringverpur, at a distance of 12 km, is a nearby tourist attraction.
Mau Aimma lies about 30 km north of Allahabad. Its neighboring towns are Chitpalgarh, Raniganj, Siwaith and Sikandra. Mau Aimma Railway Station falls on the Delhi-Kolkata rail route. Nearest airport is Varanasi Airport.
