The Mathi Temple is located in
Chitkul,
Kinnaur District of
Himachal Pradesh. The presiding deity is Goddess Mathi, the local Goddess of Chitkul. The main temple was constructed about five hundred years ago by a resident of Garhwal.
The square ark of the Goddess, made of walnut wood and covered with clothes, is carried by means of two poles inserted into it. Daily pujas are conducted here.
