Masoor Pulao is a vegetarian dish prepared with masoor dal and basmati rice cooked with chopped onions, garlic, cloves, cumin seeds, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, butter, and cinnamon sticks. Masoor Dal is highly nutritious and is warming for the body. This lentil should be soaked in soda to remove its bitterness before cooking with rice. Masoor Pulao is usually served with cool Kachumber Salad and mint chutney.
