Marudur




Spanning over an area of about 15 sq km, Marudur is a small town situated near Kulittalai in Karur District , Tamil Nadu. The town lies near the district's border with Tiruchirapalli District. Rejendram is situated in the north-west, Musiri in the north, Perugamani in the east and Nangavaram in the south-east. Cauvery River flows nearby. Musiri, Kadambavananathar Temple and Tiruveengoimalai Maragathachaleswarar Temple at Kulittalai, Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple Museum, Kalyana Venkattaramasami Temple, Rock Fort at Tiruchirapalli, Shri Ranganathasamy Temple and Vishnu Temple at Srirangam and Government Museum at Karur are tourist spots in the neighborhood. Accommodation is available at several hotels and guest houses in Tiruchirapalli. Tiruchirapalli Airport is the nearest airport. Kulitalai Railway Station and Pettaivaytalai Railway Station serve the town. The nearest major railhead is Karur Junction Railway Station. Marudur can be accessed by road from Karur and Tiruchirapalli.
