Marth Mariam Church is an ancient church located in
Angamaly,
Ernakulam District. It is one of the prominent churches under the Malankara Diocese. The church is adorned by beautiful wood carvings, chandeliers and east Persian miniature paintings. An ancient Bible written in leather parchment is preserved here. About 28 parishes have originated from this church. An inscription on the altar reveals that Marth Mariam Church was re-modeled in AD 776. There are two altars which bear the icons of St Geevarghese and St Bahnam.
