Mar Thoma Syrian Church at
Coimbatore was built in 1949 to commemorate the visit of St Thomas to India in 52 AD. The head office of the church is situated at
Thiruvalla in
Kerala. The church conducts regular holy communion services and has different organizations to cater to the spiritual needs of all age groups.
