Mansagar Dam

Mansagar Dam is situated on the eastern side of Jal Mahal, between Amber and Jaipur in the Jaipur District of Rajasthan. It offers a good vantage point for viewing the lake and the valley. The outflow of the water from the dam is used for irrigation purposes for over a thousand acres of land. Surrounded by hills, the place is the home for a variety of migratory and resident birds. Mansagar Dam can be easily accessed as it is midway on the road from Jaipur to Amber Fort. The nearest railhead is Jaipur Junction Railway Station.
