Manjanikara Church is a major Christian pilgrim center in Pathanamthitta, famous for the resting place of Mar Ignatius Elias 111, the holy patriot of Anthiod. While on a visit to India, he died here in 1932.His mortal remains are preserved in this church. The annual festival (Ormaperunal) held here in February is celebrated with much pomp and merriment.
