Manipal College of Pharmaceutical Sciences was founded in 1963 as part of the Kasturba Medical College. It offers diploma, UG and post graduate courses in pharmacy. Research facilities are available in Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmacognosy, Pharmacology and Pharmaceutical Marketing Management. All the programs are approved by the Pharmacy Council of India and accredited by NBA, NAAC, and UGC.
The Manipal College of Pharmaceutical Sciences is housed in a spacious building with its own hostel, library and sports facilities. For research purposes, sophisticated labs of its sister institutions are also made use of. The college faculty boasts 30 research grants and many research awards. A quarterly research journal, Pharmag, is being published from the college. The college also has played host to two Indian Pharmaceutical Congress sessions and several workshops, seminars and symposiums.
