Mango Festival is a major festival celebrated at the Pinjore Gardens (
Yadavindra Gardens) in
Haryana. It is usually conducted in the month of June or July. The festival is a feast for the lovers of mango, the national fruit of India.
During this festival about 100 varieties of mango from Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Punjab are brought here, delighting everyone with their hybrid shapes and quality. Visitors can taste the traditional varieties of mangoes as well as the latest hybrids from various agricultural universities. Various competitions of preserved goods made of mango and other cultural shows are also conducted.
The Mango Festival provides opportunities for various food industries and agro industries to display their products which include jams, pickles and canned fruits.
