Mandore Government Museum




Housed in Janana Mahal, Mandore Government Museum is around 8 km form Jodhpur. The main attraction of this museum is the natural history section which displays an African bison and a crocodile of 11 feet. Its art gallery exhibits large paintings of Maharajas of Jodhpur and events in their lives. It also holds a complete section of miniature painting on Raga-Raganis. The museum also has sculptures of gods and goddess, including a statue of a dancer which dates back to 12th century AD and carvings of Krishnaleela. Mandore Government Museum functions daily from 10:00 to 16:30 hrs.
