Mandikal, also spelt as Mandikallu, is located in Kolar District of Karnataka. Chikballapur, on National Highway 7, is about 18 km south of Mandikal.

Nearest airport is Bangalore International Airport. Chikballapur Railway Station is the nearest railhead.
