Malnad College of Engineering (MCE) was established in 1960 as a joint venture of the Government of India, Government of Karnataka and Malnad Technical Education Society,
Hassan. Affiliated to
Visveswaraiah Technological University, the college offers four year full time under graduate courses in architecture, automobile engineering, civil engineering, computer science, electronics and communication engineering, electrical and electronics engineering, industrial and production engineering, instrumentation technology, and mechanical engineering. It also conducts post graduate courses in MCA and M Tech.
MCE has a well-constructed building with fully developed and advanced laboratories, class rooms, well stocked library, sports facilities, and separate hostel facilities for boys and girls.
