Mallikarjuna Kamakshidevi Temple is a highly revered shrine in
Jonnawada – about 20 km from
Nellore.
Goddess Kamakshi is the presiding deity here. Offering prayers to the deity after taking bath in the Penna River is believed to relive one from acute diseases. A major draw is a ten day long festival which is celebrated here with much pomp and splendor.
