Mallika Sarabhai, an eminent dancer, is the daughter of the renowned dancer Mrinalini Sarabhai and the legendary scientist Vikram Sarabhai. She is basically a
Bharatanatyam and
Kuchipudi Dance forms. Mallika is also a choreographer, actress, and editor. In the Peter Brooke's film, Mahabharat, she performed the role of
Draupadi. The film, based on
the Mahabharata was made in English and French.
Mallika did her Masters in Business Administration from the Indian Institute of Management and later received a doctorate in organizational behavior. In 1977, she was honored with the highest civilian award 'French Palme D'or' by the French Government. Currently, she is the co-director of the Darpana Academy of Performing Arts in
Ahmedabad.
