Malighati is a town in Midnapore District and lies on the banks of the Silai, one of the streams of the Rupnaryan. Around 10 km towards north-east is Daspur. Neighboring towns include Nij Narajol to the north-west, Lowada to the south and Keshpur to the west.
Temple of Gopinath at Daspur and Santinath Shiva Temple at Chandrakona are the main tourist destinations.
