Malan is located in Kangra District of Himachal Pradesh. It lies on the National Highway 20 and is around 4 km east of Nagrota. Dharamsala is roughly 15 km north-west and Kangra is about 13 km west. Gaggal Airport is the nearest airport. Nagrota Railway Station is the nearest railway station.
