Makhdum Sabzwari Mosque




Makhdum Sabzwari Mosque is located in the Mayfair Gardens region of Delhi. The mosque was built in the fifteenth century, during the invasion of India by Timur, a Muslim ruler from central Asia.

Makhdum Sabzwari Mosque is a mix of Indian and Pathan (central Asian) style of architecture. The gate of this monument is built in the Hindu style. The interiors of the mosque are done in typical Muslim style. The mosque is an evidence of the gradual inclusion of the local elements in the constructions made by the Muslim invaders in India.
