Majhagawan lies on the banks of the Ken River, about 19 km west of Panna, in Panna District. It is about 56 km away from Khajuraho.
Majhagawan Diamond Mine, the only working diamond mine in India and the largest in Asia, is a major tourist site. It is just outside the boundary of Panna National Park.
