Maisamma Temple is an ancient
Shaktipitha dedicated to Goddess Maisamma, located near Pattepur in
Mahabubnagar District of
Andhra Pradesh. The deity, which is made of granite stones, is a trite Telugu equivalent of Mahishasura Mardhini.
The periodical festivals are celebrated on the occasions of Pushya Pournami and Rathotsav. These are held with great pomp and splendor lasting for days.
