Maipady




Maipady is a village in Kasargod District of Kerala. The place is on the outer skirts of Kasargod, hardly 8 km away from it. Maipady is famous for an ancient palace, the Maipady Palace, which was the seat of the Kumbla Rajas.

Srimad Anantheswara Vinayaka Temple, a fine blend of Kerala and Karnataka styles of architecture, is about 3 km away.

Mangalore Airport and Kasargod Railway Station serve the village. Local buses connect Maipady with Kasargod and Madhur.
