Mailarudeva Temple




Mailarudeva Temple is a famous temple situated at Aihole, about 13 km off Warangal. Lord Shiva is worshipped here in the form of Mailarudeva.

The chief deity of this temple, accompanied by Goddess Parvati, is popularly known as Mallara. Parvati is worshipped as Madci here. The architectural style of Mailarudeva Temple is reminiscent of the Bhadrakali Temple at Hanamakonda and the minor temples in Warangal Fort.

Pakhal Wildlife Sanctuary, and the thousand pillared temple are nearby attractions.

The major railhead nearby is Warangal Junction Railway Station and the nearest airport is at Hyderabad.
