Mahul is a rural township in the district of Azamgarh. It lies to the west of Azamgarh on the road connecting Bardah and Maharajganj. The town is around 8 km west of Phulpur and 17 km north of Sarai Mir.
Durvasa is a nearby place of religious importance. Shivratri fair, held at Dattatreya, and the cattle fair, held at Govindsahab, are some of the important fairs organized in the district.
