Mahl




Mahl is the language spoken by the people of Minicoy Island in Lakshadweep. It is written in Divehi (Maldivian) script. This language has 24 alphabets and is written from left to right and resembles that of Arabic. The Mahl was created in Maldivies, by altering their ancient local alphabet with certain adoptions from Arabic language.
