Mahipal Lake is about 60 km from
Balurghat and 30 km from
Gangarampur.
Located in North Dinajpur District, this lake was dug during reign of Pal Dynasty. Large numbers of migratory birds flock here during winter. The ruined buildings of Nilkothi on the bank of this large water body are another attraction.
Mahipal is about 30 km from Madnabati.
