Mahimpur Teerth is situated at Mahimpur village in
Murshidabad District of
West Bengal. The temple is dedicated to the Jain god Parshwanath Bhagwan.
Mahimpur Teerth is the only temple in India with the idol of the deity made of tested stone. There also other idols of Sumatinath Bhagwan and Neminath Bhagwan. This temple is chief among the group of five Jain temples in West Bengal. The temple was constructed in the beginning of the 18th century by a rich merchant named Sheth Shri Mahatabraiji. The Temple is now managed by a trust named Shri Jagat Sheth Jain Kasoti Mandir.
