Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences




Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences in Sevagram was founded by Dr Sushila Nayar, a great social reformer and disciple of Mahatma Gandhi. Managed by the Kasturba Health Society, it is dedicated to provide accessible and affordable health care to underprivileged rural communities.

Also known as Sevagram Medical College, the institute offers undergraduate programs in Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Pharmacology and Forensic Medicine. Postgraduate programs are also conducted. Besides, it organizes blood donation camps, diagnostic camps and rural development activities.
