Mahankali Jatra is a festival celebrated in the state of
Andhra Pradesh during the month of Asadha in
Hindu calendar, which falls on either June or July. It is celebrated to honor the Goddess Kali. During the festival large colorful processions are organized and the devotees offer food in pots as an offering to the deity.
