Mahadeshwara Temple




Mahadeshwara Temple is situated on the top of the Mahadeshwara Hill in Chamrajnagar District. Lord Shiva is worshipped here in the form of shivling.

Pilgrims visit here for a holy dip in Antaragange, a perennial source of water, and have darshan of the Lord.

The main festival of the temple is Mahashivratri. Special puja’s are conducted at this time.

The temple is about 142 km from Mysore.
