Started in 1997 by venerable Bhikkhu Sanghasena, Mahabodhi Nunnery is meant for the nuns of
Ladakh in
Jammu and Kashmir. It also trains young women in the field of spirituality.
The comprehensive syllabus consists of Buddhist studies covered in a period of 7 years. The nuns also perform regular spiritual and humanitarian services. Comprehensive spiritual and academic training program is also conducted to enable these nuns to become effective in humanitarian and spiritual programs in future.
