Madras Canine Club (MCC), the sole body for all canine affairs, was established in 1976 at
Chennai, the capital of
Tamil Nadu. Affiliated to
Kennel Club of India, it caters the needs of canine lovers in and around Chennai. The club conducts training camps for the exhibitors to show their pets professionally. Handlers’ competitions are also organized for children and ladies.
Madras Canine Club runs a well stocked library for its members meant to provide adequate information about the canine world. It also plans to start a veterinary hospital with all surgical facilities to treat and sterilize dogs.
