Madhavaraya Temple

Madhavaraya Temple, situated 30 km from the Parshvanatha Temple in Anantapur District, is a 14th century temple noted for its exquisite carvings.

Though the exterior of Madhavaraya Temple is free of sculptures, there are beautifully crafted scenes from the life of Lord Krishna, the epic Ramayana, and the Narasimha legend along with musicians and acrobats, adoring the columns inside. A frieze of Lord Ram enthroned is housed in the hall, which is accessible through a door way. The immense temple gopuram had been left unfinished.
