Madhava Temple is a 13th century shrine, situated on the eastern bank of the Prachi River, in
Cuttack District of
Orissa. Since a small Durga image is situated next to the idol of Madhava (
Lord Krishna) within the sanctum, the temple is also referred to as 'Durgamadhava'. This joint worship stands as a testimony of the great Orissan process of synthesis.
