Madan Mohonji Temple




Built between 1850 and 1879, Madan Mohonji Temple is located at Brahmpur Nahabam Leikai in Imphal. It is situated 500 m from the protected temple of Lord Krishna at Brahmapur Guru Aribam Leikai. The architecture of the temple resembles the temple of Lord Krishna. The superstructure of this square shaped shrine rests on a high molded platform. The temple and the surrounding areas covering about 163 sq m of land come under the protected monuments and archeological sites of Manipur. The nearest railhead is at Dimapur, 215 km.
