Machhakund is situated in
Koraput District of
Orissa. It is about 90 km south-west of
Koraput. The town is also referred as
Duduma, after a glittering waterfall nearby.
A tank named Matsyakund having mythical importance is located here and so it is also called Matsya Tirtha. Machhakund Hydro-Electric Power Project is another landmark here.
Accommodation facilities are available at an Inspection Bungalow here and a rest house at Ankadeli. Machhakund Railway Station is on the Koraput - Vishakapatnam rail route.
