M V Amindivi, an all-weather ship, is introduced in the year 1988. This ship is run by SPORTS (Society for Promotion of Nature Tourism and Sports), the official tourist agency of Lakshadweep Islands.
M V Amindivi has a capacity to accommodate up to 150 passengers. It operates between
Kochi and
Lakshadweep Islands. It has a cargo capacity of 25 MT. The journey takes between 14 to 20 hrs.
The ship provides accommodation in AC deluxe class with two berth cabins, AC first class with four berth cabins and tourist class with AC seating. Doctor-on-call service is also available.
