Lukocholi Darwaza was built in the middle of the 16th century by Shah Shujah. Located in the south-eastern side of the
Qadam Rasul, it was constructed as a passage to the religious complex. The name of the gate was probably derived from the word 'Luka churi' which means 'hide and seek.' Lukocholi Darwaza is also popular as Shahi Darwaza.
