Elgin's Memorial is an impressive mausoleum located at
Dharamsala in
Kangra District of
Himachal Pradesh. It is situated inside the wilderness of
St John's Church, an imposing structure built in 1852.
This old graveyard was built for the Scottish working-peer, and eighth viceroy Lord Elgin, who succeeded Lord Lansdowne, in 1896. It is about 8 km from Dharamsala.
