Lohawka Wildlife Sanctuary




Lohawka Wildlife Sanctuary is in Chhimtuipui District, about 400 km from Aizawl and 85 km from Lawngtlai. It is spread over an area of 75.50 sq km, and includes tropical evergreen and tropical semi-evergreen forest, where rare species of flora and fauna are abundant. Sambar, barking deer, leopard, rhesus macaque, slow loris, binturong and varieties of birds find a home in this sanctuary.
