Lohar is the blacksmith community belonging to
Bastar District of
Chhattisgarh. Apart from the farming tools and household objects, their major product is the ‘deepak,’ a large lamp, which is unique in its shape and beauty. Another popular object made by this community is the two-legged horse with no ears, called ‘Raodev’.
