Established in 1878, Lloyd Botanical Garden is located just below the market place in
Darjeeling. It is named after William Lloyd, and has 40 acres of rolling hillside growing different types of flora from eastern and western
Himalayas.
Charmingly laid-out terraces containing alpine plants, arum lilies, geraniums, azaleas, tree ferns and conifers are a treat to the eyes. The garden is now functioning under the forest department of Government of West Bengal.
