Lingthem is located in
North Sikkim District of
Sikkim and rests on the foot of the
Himalayas. Lingthem is about 5 km north-west of
Mangan.
Lepchas tribe inhabits the area. Lingthem is an ecologically oriented area and animals have a significant bearing on social and cultural life. The entire area commands stunning views of the thick evergreen forest and the mighty mountains. Lingthem Monastery is located here.
Civil Enclave Bagdogra and Darjeeling Railway Station are the nearest airport and railway station respectively.
