Lignite Mines at Neyveli

Lignite Mines in Neyveli are managed by the Neyveli Lignite Corporation Limited. The mines are situated near Neyveli town, 55 km south-west of Cuddalore, in Cuddalore District, Tamil Nadu. The mining operations were launched by Nehru in May 1957.
