Built in 1974, Lha Khang Soma is a shrine located at
Alchi in
Leh District. It lies to the south of the Sumstek.
This square shaped room encompasses a chorten or votive stupa. Carved brackets with lion faces are found on the column that hold up the raised roof. The shrine is decorated with three large mandalas on the western wall. Murals found on the shrine dates back to 1200. The images of Vairochana, Buddha, Bodhisattvas, and guardian figures can be found on the walls.
