Legislative Assembly Secretariat, the seat of administration of
Tripura, is located in the capital city of
Agartala covering an area of one sq Km. It was the royal house of Maharaja Radha Kishore Manikya, built in 1901.
Popularly known as Ujjayanta Palace, this mansion is a two storeyed house constructed in a mixed European-Mughal style. It has three high domes, magnificent tile floor, curved wooden ceiling and attractively crafted doors. The palace is set with huge Mughal style gardens, beautified by pools and parks.
The palace is open to public from 15:00 to 16:00 hrs, except on Sundays.
